Warriors Coach Sunday Chidzambga Delighted To See Captain Knowledge Musona Playing Regularly
Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambga is elated to see Warriors captain Knowledge Musona playing again after a long period without getting game time.
Musona left his parent Club Anderlecht for Sporting Lokeren during this January transfer window due to lack of playing time. He joined Anderlecht at the start of the 2018/19 season from KV Oostende. He, however, made just two starts in eight appearances from 21 league matches, scoring once.
Chidzambga revealed that it was important for his players to be playing regularly, especially that Zimbabwe has not yet qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations finals to be held in Egpty in June/July this year. Said Chidzambga:
Musona’s decision to transfer to a team that gives him game time is the best move he made. It’s good for him and the country. It’s important for players to be playing regularly for their clubs and in the case of Musona, I am very happy for him. We have a very big match coming up and any coach would want all his players to be both physically and mentally ready.
