FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says his side is going to work hard for a result against Congolese side Otoho D’oyo on Sunday. The teams will clash in the first leg of theirCAF Champions League tie. Platinum dispatched CNaPS of Madagascar 2-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round of the competition
Mapeza said that he is aware of the challenge at hand, but believes with hard work and good management of the game, they can get a result.
We know we are up against a good team who are very good when playing at home, but our preparations have been well and we prepared accordingly. We need to work hard and manage the game well.
FC Platinum who have transformed well under Mapeza, became the first club based outside Harare and Bulawayo to win the PSL title and retained it in the following year.
Should they overcome Otoho D’oyo in the two-legged matches, the Zvishavane side can write another piece of history and qualify for the mini-league phase of the champions league.
