Mnangagwa Swears In Acting Prosecutor General

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has sworn in Kumbirai Hodzi as the acting Prosecutor General. Hodzi who was a Deputy Attorney General was sworn in on Monday morning. This follows the suspension of Ray Goba on allegations of failing to prosecute high profile criminals and putting his office into disrepute by using abusive language and insulting lawyers. He has also been accused of sneaking out of the country, without Cabinet’s authority.

President Emmerson Mnangwa has already sworn in a three-member panel to investigate the allegations against Goba to determine if he is fit to continue in his current office.
