I Am 100 Percent Certain I Will Defeat Mutsvangwa In Rerun
Langton Mutendereki the Zanu-PF politician who defeated Special Adviser to President Emmerson Mnangagwa Christopher Mutsvangwa has declared that he will repeat the feat in the rerun. The Zanu-PF Politburo ordered a rerun of the poll after Mutsvangwa refused to accept defeat claiming that the polls had been rigged by the police. Mutsvangwa also blamed Zanu-PF political commissar Lieutenant-General (retired) Engelbert Rugeje for the loss and threatened to go with the people instead of with Zanu-PF. Speaking to NewsDay, Mutendereki said,
It’s not true that I’m being threatened to quit the rerun. Those are lies, in fact, I’m raring to go and will win this time with a wider margin . . . my friend even if the elections are held 100 times I will still beat Mutsvangwa. During the first round, I was 75% sure that I would win, but now I am 100% certain. I won without anyone’s help and ready for it.
Mutsvangwa refused to comment on the issue.
