War Veterans Defend Jabulani Sibanda For Meeting With Chamisa
Bulawayo Province war vets chair Ciephas Ncube has defended the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) former leader Jabulani Sibanda’s recent meeting with MDC-T president Nelson Chamisa, arguing the engagement was a sign of maturity among Zimbabwean politicians.
Ncube also dismissed reports that Sibanda may join MDC-T following Chamisa’s visit. Said Ncube:
About his meeting with Chamisa, people should stop being naïve, remember we are all Zimbabweans. We should not be divided by politics. We need to be mature, I know him personally and he is not that character. People should know that there is life outside politics. So there was no problem with Chamisa meeting Jabu. That’s what we call maturity. That’s what we expect under the new political dispensation.
FeedbackWhen contacted by Daily News for a comment, Sibanda declined to comment saying that he did not want to talk and will only do so when the time is right.
