ED Cancels Victoria Falls Clean Up Campaign

President has reportedly cancelled his planned clean-up campaign in Victoria Falls Falls this Friday. Mnangagwa will instead, tour Chimanimani to assess the relief efforts being conducted in the wake of Tropical Cyclone Idai.

This was revealed by ZANU PF Patriots through a post on its Twitter page on Wednesday morning. They wrote:

Cde ED heads for Chimanimani‼️

In an act of statesmanship & great humanitarian, HE Cde ED is no longer going to Victoria Falls on Friday for the Vic Falls clean up but he is heading to Chimanimani to assess the relief efforts on the devastating trail left by #CycloneIdaiZW.

The National Clean Up Day Is Mnangagwa’s brainchild and was announced on December 18, 2018. In announcing the day, Mnangagwa said then:

In the spirit of creating a clean, safe and healthy environment, it shall be the duty of every individual, corporate body, community and institution to clean up their surrounding areas, places of work, religion, education, recreational and residential premises, vending sites, car parks and road servitudes.

  1. Really shows ED is matured, prioritizing the welfare of those victims who are really in need of aid relief.
