Zimbabwe Power Company Former Boss Arrested On Bribery Allegations

Former Zimbabwe Power Company (ZPC) chairperson Stanely Nyasha Kazhanje appeared before a Harare magistrate on allegations of receiving a $10 000 bribe from Wicknell Chivayo. Chivhayo is considered a controversial businessman who owns a firm called Intratrek Zimbabwe. Kazhanje is alleged to have received the bribe so that he would not cancel the 100-megawatt Gwanda solar project which had been awarded to Intratrek Zimbabwe.
