Constitutional Court Dismisses Mujuru’s #BondNotes Case

Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Court has dismissed with costs Joice Mujuru‘s Bond Notes case. The court said the case was just “political grandstanding” by the Mujuru.

The court suggested that the Bond Notes case isn’t ripe for discussion and that the application be made after the law has been passed.

Two weeks ago, through her lawyer, Mujuru wrote to the Constitutional Court asking it to treat her recent legal action against the notes with urgency, following an announcement by RBZ governor John Mangudya that the central bank would be unveiling $75 million worth of Bond Notes at the end of October.
