The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has instituted disciplinary proceedings against Scottland FC for allegedly fielding an ineligible player in a Chibuku Super Cup match against FC Platinum.
The case centres on Witbeen Stoffel, who allegedly played for Scottland in the Chibuku Super Cup encounter at Rufaro Stadium on 14 August 2026.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the PSL said Scottland had been charged with contravening Article 8.4, read together with Article 4.1, of the Chibuku Super Cup Rules and Regulations.
The club has been given until Friday, 2 October 2026, to submit its written plea, submissions or defence outline to the PSL.
Meanwhile, a separate case involving Stoffel has been referred to the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) for determination under the relevant rules and regulations. The matter relates to a match played in the ZIFA Munhumutapa Cup.
