The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has confirmed the broadcast details for Wednesday evening’s Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Zimbabwe and Mauritius.

The Young Warriors begin their 2027 U23 AFCON qualifying campaign with the first leg of their first-round tie at the National Sports Stadium in Harare.

The match will kick off at 6 pm CAT and will be broadcast live on ZBCtv, ZIFA confirmed via its social media platforms.

The two-legged tie also doubles as part of the qualification pathway for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, making progression a key objective for Marc Sanchez’s side.

Should Zimbabwe advance on aggregate, they will face Mali in the next round.

Ahead of kick-off, ZIFA has sought to reassure supporters about matchday arrangements at the National Sports Stadium.

In a statement, ZIFA said measures were in place to ensure a safe, orderly and enjoyable experience.

It said turnstiles and ticket scanners have been tested and are working to facilitate smooth entry, with additional stewards deployed and enhanced security arrangements in place.

Parking will be free to help ease congestion at the gates, and motorists will be required to follow the directions of parking attendants and security personnel.

ZIFA also advised fans that no tickets will be sold at the venue and urged supporters to purchase before travelling to the stadium.

Supporters have been urged to arrive early, use the designated entry gate indicated on their ticket, have their tickets ready for scanning and cooperate with stewards and security officials.

“ZIFA is working closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that entry, movement within the stadium and departure are managed efficiently,” reads the statement.
