Hip-hop artist Mukudzei Chitsama, popularly known as Holy Ten, has been granted US$500 bail by Harare magistrate Jesse Kufa on an allegation of raping a 14-year-old girl.

The 27-year-old musician, who appeared in court on Wednesday, 22 July, was ordered to surrender his passport, continue residing at his given address, report to police every Friday at a designated station, and not interfere with State witnesses while on bail.

He was represented by lawyer Admire Rubaya. Prosecutor Lawrence Gangarahwe told the court the State was not opposing bail as investigations are still ongoing.

“We are waiting for a forensic examination report and documents that prove the age of the complainant. The State is not opposed to the release of the accused on bail,” Gangarahwe said.

The matter has been remanded to 7 August to allow investigators to complete outstanding inquiries.

Holy Ten was arrested early on Tuesday, 21 July 2026.

The musician recently completed a rehabilitation programme for drug and alcohol addiction at a facility in Rustenburg, South Africa, which was reportedly funded by Collins Mnangagwa, son of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

In recent years, Holy Ten has been involved in public disputes with several high-profile figures, including preacher Uebert Angel and Collins Mnangagwa.
