Organisers of the 2026 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) say exhibition space is nearly fully booked, with 97% of the available 51,170 square metres already taken.
The fair, running from 20 to 25 April 2026 under the theme “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries”, will be officially opened by Botswana’s President, Duma Gideon Boko.
Speaking at a media briefing on Thursday, ZITF chairman Busisa Moyo said 485 direct exhibitors have confirmed participation, including 100 leaseholders.
“The President of the Republic of Botswana will officiate at this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, reinforcing ZITF’s growing regional and diplomatic stature,” said Moyo.
He said Botswana’s selection aligns with the fair’s theme, given the longstanding trade ties between the two countries. Zimbabwe imports goods such as salt from Botswana, while Zimbabwean firms also operate across the border.
International participants includes 46 exhibitors from 29 countries, among them Belarus, Belgium, China, Denmark, Eswatini, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mozambique, Namibia, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Zambia.
Organisers of the Fair say the strong uptake of exhibition space and broad international presence reflects renewed confidence in the trade fair as Zimbabwe positions itself as a regional business hub.
