Three Killed In Harare–Mutare Road Head-On Collision

Three people were killed, and another was seriously injured after a Benz truck crashed head-on into a Nissan Note at the 119km peg along the Harare–Mutare Road on Tuesday morning.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the accident, saying all three victims, including the driver, were travelling in the Nissan Note and died at the scene. A statement from the ZRP reads:

“The ZRP reports a fatal road traffic accident which occurred today, 23/12/25, at around 0800 hours at the 119 km peg along Harare–Mutare Road.

“A Benz truck travelling towards Mutare was involved in a head-on collision with a Nissan Note carrying four occupants and heading towards Harare.

“Three occupants from the Nissan Note, including the driver, died on the spot.

“The fourth occupant sustained severe injuries and was referred to Marondera General Hospital for medical treatment.

“The bodies of the victims were conveyed to Rusape General Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination.”
