The president f Botswana Mokgweetsi Masisi has said SADC will respond appropriately to the conflict in Mozambique to ensure that the country’s sovereignty is not assaulted.
Masisi made the remarks this Wednesday after meeting President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the State House in Harare. He said:
Sadc will respond in a helpful manner to ensure that the integrity and sovereignty of one of our own is never to be assaulted by dissident, rebellious and non-state actor forces that undermine the democratic credentials of peace and stability.
His remarks come as “sluggish SADC” has been slammed for its procrastination in intervening in the member country even when hundreds have been reportedly killed while thousands were displaced.
