VP Kembo Mohadi has said he is aware of some opposition activists and civil society’s plans to infiltrate and capitalise on the anti-sanctions campaign and engage in criminal activities The Chronicle reports.
Mohadi said this on a campaign rally in Makokoba Suburb in Bulawayo and assured his party supporters that ZRP officers will be deployed to quell any acts of misconduct during the campaign.
As Government, we have got information that there are covert plans by some members from the opposition and the civil society who want to take advantage and infiltrate.
In fact, they want to engage in acts of violence and looting shops like what happened in January.It is therefore important for police to be ready and they should be out in full force to deal with such elements.
