DStv Zimbabwe is set to launch a new set of packages and has promised subscribers more entertainment.
The pay-TV service, owned by MultiChoice, currently offers six main packages in Zimbabwe: Lite, Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus and Premium.
In a teaser posted on Friday, DStv said: “Something new is loading… New DStv Packages are coming soon, with even more to discover, watch and enjoy. Ready to see what’s next?”
The announcement comes just over a week after DStv unveiled a major shake-up of its packages in South Africa.
On 17 September 2026, DStv South Africa introduced a simplified core structure with dedicated sports and entertainment options and automatic migration for existing subscribers.
The new packages are EasyView, Starter, which replaces Access; Select, which replaces Family; Sports, which replaces Compact and Premium; and a brand-new mid-tier option called Movies & Series.
For the first time, there is a standalone Sports package. Priced at R399 per month, it includes SuperSport channels, Premier League, Champions League and PSL matches, without forcing viewers to pay for high-end movie tiers. Premium international sport such as Formula 1, MotoGP and golf remains exclusive to Premium.
The new R500 Movies & Series package is aimed directly at film and series fans. It pulls together heavy entertainment brands including M-Net, kykNET, Mzansi Magic and M-Net Movies+ that were previously spread across legacy tiers.
As part of the changes, old entry and mid-tier plans, Access, Family, Compact and Compact Plus, have been phased out or replaced, with Compact Plus grandfathered for existing customers.
