Watford have completed the signing of Zimbabwean left-back Jordan Zemura from Serie A side Udinese on a season-long loan, subject to EFL and international clearance.
The 26-year-old returns to the Championship after three seasons with Udinese, where he made 67 Serie A appearances, scoring twice and providing four assists.
“Zemura is a player with key experience in the Championship with Bournemouth,” said Group Technical Director Gian Luca Nani.
“He is a full-back of excellent technique and quality, capable of contributing very effectively to the attacking phase. His experience in Serie A has further improved him defensively.
“He brings experience, quality and a winning mentality. We are really happy to have him at Watford.”
Zemura’s move to Watford was finalised on 2 August 2026. The loan deal hands the Hornets an experienced option at left‑back as they gear up for the new Championship season.
A left‑footed defender standing 1.73m, Zemura began his senior career at Bournemouth after progressing through their under‑23 ranks.
He featured 35 times in the Championship, scoring 3 goals and providing an assist, before making 19 Premier League appearances, in which he added another assist.
Zemura joined Udinese on a free transfer in July 2023 and went on to play 67 Serie A matches, scoring twice and setting up four goals. His time in Italy also included six Coppa Italia outings, with one assist to his name.
Before Bournemouth, Zemura came through the youth systems at Charlton Athletic and Queens Park Rangers, joining Charlton’s under‑18s in 2017 and stepping up to the under‑23s a year later. In July 2019, he switched to Bournemouth’s under‑23 side on a free transfer.
The loan marks a return to England after three years in Italy, with Zemura contracted to Watford until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to Udinese.
