Outspoken former ZANU-PF Member of Parliament Killer Zivhu has claimed that the party is being dismantled day by day by people with deep pockets.

Zivhu, who represented Chivi South in the National Assembly, criticised what he sees as the disrespect shown to long-serving party members in favour of former opposition activists.

“ZANU-PF has changed. They’re now giving cars and money to opposition members, calling them “former opposition” members—while vana vemusangano vachifira mahara. It’s being dismantled day by day,” wrote Zivhu on X.

“The party has turned into a billionaire’s club, not a revolutionary movement anymore.”

Zivhu also claimed that most of the people backing the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) Bill are doing so to get freebies.

ZANU PF Central Committee members Paul Tungwarara and Kudakwashe Tagwirei, along with self-proclaimed businessman Wicknell Chivayo, have been giving out cars and thousands of dollars to people, including MPs who have openly supported CAB3.

Zivhu warned that those pushing CAB3 want to take power without elections. He added that if the Bill is passed, it will pave the way for a situation where only the rich can become presidents.

“Most of those celebrating CAB3 aren’t doing it because they love development. They’re doing it because they want freebies,” said Zivhu.

“Those behind this initiative don’t care about the stories we’re being told about CAB3; they care about taking over power without elections.

“Only the rich will be the next presidents of this country. It’s easy to buy hungry MPs even with just (10K); they can vote anytime.

“The real danger is that this will lead to a series of impeachments—whoever puts more money on the table will impeach the sitting president.”
