Dynamos chairman Vincent Chawonza has disclosed that the club was fined a total of US$32,700 by the Premier Soccer League in 2025 alone, all due to supporter misconduct at matches.
The Glamour Boys remain under disciplinary scrutiny after crowd trouble forced the abandonment of their league fixture against Hardrock at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe in May.
Speaking to members of the club’s Bulawayo Chapter at a city hotel on Saturday evening, Chawonza urged Dynamos supporters to avoid violence at football matches.
“This season, clubs have been having a lot of fines, especially Dynamos. In 2025, we had US$32,700 in fines,” said Chawonza.
“I implore our supporters to have a peaceful match, let’s refrain from missile throwing, let’s continue to support football in high numbers.
“It’s US$2,000 even if you throw one missile, let’s refrain from throwing missiles and anti-football things.”
He was speaking ahead of Sunday’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium, which ended 1-1.
There were no incidents of violence or hooliganism before, during or after the match, prompting the Zimbabwe Republic Police to commend both sets of fans.
