Four women, posing as massage therapists at a Harare lodge, were fined US$100 each on Wednesday after pleading guilty to charges of soliciting prostitution through online platforms.

The women, Sekai Chisango (33), Fadzai Mukucha (20), Faith Pahlani (28), and Liana Demberere (21), appeared before Harare magistrate Lisa Mutendereki, where they admitted breaking the law by promoting prostitution through publicly accessible electronic media.

The case was brought by the State, represented by Museba Umary of the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Harare License Inspectorate.

The court heard that on 2 February 2026, the ZRP received a tip-off about a Facebook page and WhatsApp account called “Closure Perfect Touch Spa”.

The pages advertised massage services that explicitly included sexual services, listing prices for activities such as sex and oral sex.

The advertisement claimed that eight women were available 24/7 for clients and included images of the women with their faces blurred.

An informant contacted the business via WhatsApp to confirm the services and location. Acting on this information, undercover police officers arranged a meeting and were directed to the spa at 18 Fereday Drive, Eastlea, Harare.

The police raided the premises around 3 PM and arrested the four women. Investigations showed that the women were voluntarily employed at the lodge and promoted prostitution while pretending to be massage therapists.

During the arrest, police examined the women’s mobile phones and found nude photographs and pornographic videos, which further linked them to the illegal activity.

The court confirmed that the women had been advertising prostitution on social media and messaging platforms for public access, in clear violation of the law.
