The City of Harare has announced a revised schedule of charges for its municipal swimming pools, reflecting its commitment to maintaining recreational infrastructure while promoting equitable access for all residents.
The updated fee structure applies to both low-density and high-density suburbs, with day-use rates tailored to each area and seasonal passes offered at a uniform rate.
In low-density suburbs such as Arcadia, Avondale, Craneborne, Greendale, Hatfield, Highlands, Les Brown, Mabelreign, Mt Pleasant, and Waterfalls, pool entry now costs US$4 for adults and US$2 for children.
Residents in these areas also have the option to purchase seasonal tickets valid for nine months, priced at US$200 for adults and US$100 for children.
For high-density suburbs including Highfield, Mbare, and Mufakose, the city has set more affordable day-use rates of US$2 for adults and US$1 for children.
However, the seasonal ticket prices remain the same as those in low-density areas, US$200 for adults and US$100 for children.
