Opposition politician Job Sikhala has offered a reward of US$20,000 for information leading to the identification of those behind an attack on his home in Chitungwiza.

Sikhala said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 30 August 2025, while he was in South Africa attending the launch of his biography, “Footprints in the Chains: The Life Story of Job Sikhala”.

In a statement, he described the attack as a “terrorist act,” alleging that the assailants intended to harm his children.

The property sustained some damage, which Sikhala personally inspected upon his return.

He said the reward money had been raised by his international allies and members of the Zimbabwean diaspora.

Sikhala assured that the identity of any whistle-blower would be kept strictly confidential.
