Warriors Face Benin In Abidjan, Rwanda In Johannesburg, In World Cup Qualifiers

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced the fixtures for the Warriors’ next two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Group C.

Zimbabwe will face Benin on Matchday Seven at a neutral venue in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on 5 September.

The match will be played at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, the same ground that staged the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final between Ivory Coast and Nigeria, after Benin failed to secure an approved home venue.

Four days later, on 9 September, the Warriors will “host” Rwanda at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg in their Matchday Eight clash.

The Warriors’ hopes of reaching the World Cup are faint. They currently prop up the Group C table with just four points, trailing leaders South Africa by nine, with only four fixtures remaining.
