Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has gifted Jah Prayzah’s wife, Rufaro Chiworeso Mukombe, a 2024 Land Rover Defender 2.4 D as part of the musician’s birthday celebrations.
Jah Prayzah, real name Mukudzei Mukombe, was born on 4 July 1987 in Uzumba.
Posting on his social media pages this Friday, Chivayo said he had decided to mark the artist’s birthday “differently” this year.
He said society often overlooks the women who support successful men, describing them as the foundation behind their triumphs.”
Chivayo said the gift was a way of recognising that quiet strength and unwavering encouragement. He said:

As men, we often overlook the WOMEN who stand firmly behind us, giving us all the SUPPORT and encouragement.

Over the past two years, Chivayo has showered Jah Prayzah and his Third Generation Band with an array of high-value gifts, including luxury vehicles and large sums of cash.
In January 2024, Jah Prayzah received a brand-new 2023 Mercedes-Benz S500, valued at approximately US$180,000.
Later that year, in December, Chivayo gifted him a Toyota Aqua specifically for his son’s school run.
Just five months later, in May 2025, Chivayo upped the ante by presenting the award-winning musician with a fully paid 2025 Range Rover Autobiography, one of the most luxurious SUVs on the market.

The generosity extended beyond Jah Prayzah himself. Ten senior members of his Third Generation Band were each handed brand-new vehicles, reportedly Toyota Aquas, as part of Chivayo’s pledge to reward the team behind the music.
He further committed to gifting the remaining 16 band members by August 2025, bringing the total number of vehicles to 26.
In response to online criticism of his lavish support, Chivayo made headlines in January 2025 by vowing to donate US$10 for every negative social media comment directed at Jah Prayzah.
He later followed through, handing over US$150,000 in cash. In May 2025, along with the luxury Range Rover, Chivayo once again gifted the musician an additional US$150,000.
Most recently, in December 2025, Chivayo gave Jah Prayzah another US$20,000 in cash following a performance at the Harare Shutdown Concert.
