It's forever very difficult to accept what is rejected by the powers that be who are introducing it.Rand and Pula are legal tender in all government departments of those nations.Zig is rejected by government WHY WHY?

I have been perusing through the majority of comments from different contributors on this platform and I wish to acknowledge the fact we ought to respect each individual's opinion. To start with, I would like to bring this fact to our attention that there is clearly marker difference between facts and fantasy though how we define them is perception oriented. Let me thank anyone who is going to pause a little bit to go through my text here. I wish to address the ZiG issue in a relatively neutral way. I was fortune enough to use the 'competent' Zim dollar in the mid 1990s, those who matured enough will relate better with this fact- the currency was strong and boasted among the few stable currencies in the region. Trade, both domestic and international, flourished in the face of that native, undisputed currency. I also witnessed the rise of other legal tenders when the economy started to exhibit signs of 'illness' in the early 2000s. It was until our economy was officially dollarized in 2009 during the GNU that we began to experience real buying power, nor of our native currency, but of the United States dollar which had become a partner of the multi currency regime. 2014 saw the birth of Bond coins and later on, the notes, which were attached to the already-circulating USD$ in the country. The 1:1 notion which accompanied the narrative behind the birth of Bonds was not well accepted by the locals whose fortunes had been eroded in the previous years when the Zim dollar lost its place in the currency market. Why am I talking about this at this moment? I wish to persuade my fellow brethren here present and those who will join this discussion later that we develop a sense of:
-patience
-trust
-resilience and
positive energy, sandwiched with optimism.
It is us who determine acceptance of this newly born baby known as ZiG dollar. Let's look at our own neighbors such as SA with their Rand, Botswana with their Pula. Let's give it a try brethren, I speak as a neutral man, not leaning on any political ideology or side. I wish  us to embrace what is ours, immersing ourselves with the spirit of Ubuntu. It would be more beneficial if 'abhor' division but rather unify our efforts. I had a lot to share but I will end here for today. Asante Sana!!

The World Bank has refuted claims that it played a key role in the conception and launch of Zimbabwe’s new currency, the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG).
Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) governor John Mushayavanhu recently revealed that Zimbabwean authorities did not know much about structured currency and engaged a World Bank consultant before introducing ZiG.
But speaking to The NewsHawks, the World Bank stated that it only offers policy advice to member states, which then make the final decisions on policy implementation. The bank said:

We are committed to supporting the government of Zimbabwe in its efforts towards the country’s economic recovery.
This aligns with our goal to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet. This support includes technical expertise and in-depth research and analysis on sectors, such as the latest Zimbabwe Economic Update.
It also includes perspectives on policy and development challenges at the request of clients. Governments tailor this advice to their contexts and ultimately make the final decisions on policy implementation in their countries.
</blockquote>
During an address to business executives soon after the launch of ZiG, Mushayavanhu said the World Bank was instrumental in the introduction of ZiG.
He said he was not to blame for ZiG’s perceived shortcomings, adding “So, if you’re going to blame me, you’re actually blaming the World Bank.” He said:

We didn’t know much about structured currency. We got a consultant from the World Bank. A lot of the things you’re seeing about the structured currency actually came from the World Bank. So, if you’re going to blame me, you’re actually blaming the World Bank.

Mushayavanhu, has, however, since backtracked from his claims, saying ZiG was a well-thought-out and purely Zimbabwean idea.
