Zimdancehall star Emegy Chizanga, better known as Freeman HKD, is still in celebratory mood after he won two awards at the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMA) held last night.
The 21st edition of the prestigious awards were held at the Harare International Conference Centre last night, with 25 awards being won.
Freeman won the Outstanding Male Aritst award as well as the Album of the Year —his latest offering David and Goliath.
The ‘Joina City’ hit-maker took to Facebook to celebrate his two awards. He said:
This is for you maGallis ,Outstanding Male Artist & Outstanding Album. I really don’t know how to express myself towards this, it feels great to be appreciated for your craft by your own. Would want to give thanks to my crew the management team Watson Kafelapanjila ,Minnox and Michelle Mukaro you guys have been working so hard All producers i have worked with my HKD Band crew pese patinoenda kuma shows they always come up with ideas of new songs thanks family.
