Harare giants Dynamos are set to sharpen spears ahead of the upcoming season when they take on Premiership debutants Sheasham at Ascot Stadium in Gweru on Saturday.
The Glamour Boys, who last won the Castle Lager Premier Soccer league in 2014, will be looking to mount a serious title challenge under the freshly-recruited technical team led by Herbert ‘Jompano’ Maruwa.
DeMbare have embarked on a massive recruitment exercise which has seen them sign eight players ahead of the season — Authur Musiyiwa, Kevin and Elvis Moyo from Bulawayo Chiefs, Tendai Matindife from Ngezi Platinum Stars, Eli Ilunga and Keith Madera from Black Rhinos, Nyasha Chintuli from Manica Diamonds as well as Tanaka Shandirwa from Yadah.
Sheasham, who won the Central Region Division One to earn promotion to the country’s top-flight, confirmed in a statement that they will host Dynamos in a friendly.
Reads the statement:
“Following the return of Sheasham FC from their pre-season camp, John Nyikadzino and his squad will continue with their pre-season with a match versus Dynamos FC in Gweru over the weekend.”
Tickets for the match, which will kick off at 3pm, are pegged at USD3 rest of ground, and USD5 for VIP.
