Man Assaults Wife Over Phone Password
A 32-year-old man from Old Pumula suburb in Bulawayo has been ordered to pay a ZWL$18 000 fine or spend three months in prison for assaulting his wife after she refused to give him her phone password.
The man, Nkosilathi Ngwenya appeared before Western Commonage court magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube charged with assault.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and was given the option to pay the fine or go to jail.
Allegations were that on 26 October 2022, Samukeliso Ncube (28) was home when her husband requested her phone password.
Ncube allegedly refused to give her husband her phone password and this angered Ngwenya who suspected that his wife was cheating on him.

Ngwenya started assaulting Ncube with open hands and fists several times all over her body.
The complainant sustained a swollen face and a painful body as a result of the assault.
She went to the hospital for medical examination and the matter was reported to the police leading to Ngwenya’s arrest. | B-Metro
