Zimbabwe Weather Report And Forecast: 17 - 19 November 2022

The Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe has forecasted sunny conditions in most parts of the country. In a weather report and forecast seen by Pindula News, MSD said it should be hot across the country. Reads a report and forecast for the period 17 to 19 November 2022:

PREAMBLE

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON THURSDAY 17 NOVEMBER 2022 VALID UNTIL SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2022.

Brief clouds were experienced in all Mashonaland Provinces, Harare Metropolitan and Manicaland with mild conditions early in the morning that became hot by the afternoon. All other areas were mostly sunny and hot in the afternoon.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, FRIDAY is NOVEMBER 2022

Mostly sunny and hot daytime conditions are anticipated throughout the country. It should be mild in the morning and later in the evening.

• Hot daytime conditions can affect the health of vulnerable members of society and all other persons if exposure to direct sunlight is for an extended period of time.

• Evapotranspiration tends to increase during periods with less rainfall and cloud cover. this increases moisture stress on young plants and tender shoots.

• Poultry producers should note that broilers are sensitive to temperature variations

• Hot daytime conditions may affect the body’s health, with dehydration and sun bum being common during this period.

ACTIONS TO TAKE

• When outdoors, on the farm or performing other outdoor activities for extended periods of time please wear a sunhat or be under an umbrella to protect against direct sunlight.

• Keep hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of water.

• Please monitor soil moisture and moisture stress in young tender plants and irrigate where possible.

• Avoid starting outdoor fires that can easily run wild.

• Poultry producers should check temperature levels regularly and adjustments made to reduce bird mortality and increase productivity.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER 2022

Mild conditions are expected early in the morning and later in the evening. It should be mostly sunny and hot throughout the country. However windy conditions are expected in the southern parts of the country later during the day.
