You d be surprised to learn tht the guy was nt even drunk.His crime was interrupting the high and mighty ZANU PF.The main narrative now hinges on the fact tht he was drunk,trumped up charges to make sure tht he is discharged.if the same guy had interrupted an opposition meeting with guns and granades he d be getting a promotion or laughing all the way to the bank

A Bulawayo-based police officer Tuesday appeared before the magistrate for allegedly interrupting a ZANU PF meeting in the New Magwegwe suburb on Saturday.
Eriezel Gondo (33) was charged with “disturbing a public gathering” when he appeared before magistrate Shepherd Mjanja, NewZimbabwe reported.
The court remanded him out of custody on a ZW$30,000 bail until December 13, 2022.
His lawyer Nqobani Sithole of Ncube Attorneys complained to the court that Gondo was severely assaulted by the complainants before he was handed over to the police.
Magistrate Mjanja ordered the State to carry out investigations on the complaints raised by the defence before postponing the case.
What happened:
Court papers suggest that Gondo, who was reportedly drunk, interrupted a meeting of ZANU PF’s DCC Area Two which was underway at Mabhodoko Shopping Centre in New Magwegwe last Saturday. 
He reportedly arrived at the meeting and told ZANU PF supporters that they must disperse.
Moses Charumbira, who is the secretary for security, rebuked him and asked him to leave the venue.
Gondo reportedly returned half an hour later and told the meeting:
Ndoda kukunyorerai petition vanhu veZanu PF munozviitisa.
After uttering the alleged words, Gondo was again chased away, but he returned a few minutes later and uttered the words:
What are you talking about? The youths are hungry and jobless!
He then left the meeting venue and went to a nearby bottle store where he further shouted:
Muri kurega ava veZanu PF vachiita musangano wavo isu tichifa nenzara; handei tose tinovarova! (Why are you allowing these Zanu PF people to hold a meeting while we are struggling with hunger; let’s go and beat them up).
Prosecutors say Charumbira followed Gondo supported by a party colleague and effected a “citizen’s arrest” on the accused and handed him over to Magwegwe Police Station where a docket was opened.

Our police is suffering from political interference, it has become a Zanu pf yoyo. Corruption is now official in the entire govt, that's how civil servants survive. All road blocks are money 💰 spinning projects that end without a single arrest but with full pockets. Another cause of corruption is extortionate fines that invokes sympathy and illegal negotiations between the offender and the police details.

I want to thank Commissioner General Godwin Matanga for reminding his Police Officers that they should always be disciplined. They should not be involved in corrupt activities which tarnish the image of the Force. 

However, Commissioner General Godwin Matanga did not touch on failure by some of his Police Officers to arrest members of some Political Parties who commit crimes under their noses. Is this the new instructions to the Police Force ? With due respect to Commissioner General Godwin Matanga, are now Police Officers receiving instructions from Politicians or they still receive instructions from the rank and file of the Police Force?

I want to give one example of Nyatsime disturbances. Both CCC Political Party supporters and ZANU PF Political Party supporters were involved in skirmishes where property belonging to both ZANU PF officials and CCC Political Party officials were damaged and vandalised. But only supporters of CCC Political Party were arrested !!!! Has the law changed now ? 

My opinion and view is that accused from both sides should have been arrested. I feel that politicians interfered with the Police Operations here. 

[ POLICE FORCE SHOULD BE FOR THE COUNTRY, FOR THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE LAW ].

[ ALL CITIZENS MUST DUMP ZANU PF IN THE NEAREST BINS AND VOTE FOR CCC POLITICAL PARTY FOR REAL CHANGE AT THE HARMONISED ELECTIONS ]

It is the people who are corrupt, a police officer does not take money from your pocket. We are the ones who give them money to buy favours. Please do not give them money they get paid once every month. 

Commissioner General of Police, Godwin Matanga has urged police officers to be disciplined saying corruption continued to soil the image of the Zimbabwe Republic Police.
He made the remarks in his opening remarks at the 2022 ZRP Senior Officers’ Conference held in Harare yesterday, according to <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/police-boss-warns-senior-officers/">H-Metro</a>. He said:

His remarks come as reports of crimes committed by serving or retired police officers have been on the rise in recent years.
Some police officers have been arrested for crimes such as theft, armed robbery and corruption.
