Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 21 February 2022:
• 219 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases remains of 281 (yesterday). 64 of the new cases reported today we from outbreaks detected from schools in) Masvingo (37), Manicaland (15) and Mat North (12)
• Vaccination Update: 1 709 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 337 829, 1 755 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 370 827 while 1 738 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 103 483.
• As of 20 February 2022, @1500hrs there were 46 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (9), Asymptomatic 15, mild to moderate 27, severe 4 and 0 in Intensive Care Units.
• 1 846 tests done today (Positivity today was 11 %)
• 99 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 3 146
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 2 33 571 Cases, 225 039 recoveries & 5 386 Deaths.
