Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Update 20 January 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 20 January 2022:
- 397 New Cases (All local) and 4 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 373 from 409 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 5 542 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 228 376, 5 137 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 254 587 while 2 223 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 35 554.
- As of 19 January 2022, 1500hrs there were 119 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (12), Asymptomatic 8, mild to moderate 90, severe 16 and 5 in Intensive Care Units.
- 4 422 tests done today (Positivity today was 9%)
- 907 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 93% & Active cases go down 10 833.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 227 695 Cases 211 582 recoveries & 5 280 Deaths.
