Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Update 18 January 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 18 January 2022:

• 427 New Cases (AN local) and 8 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases falls to 436- from 494 (yesterday).

• Vaccination Update: 6 112 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 215 836; 6 331 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 242 414 while 2 101 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 30 841.

• As of 17 January 2022, tO1500hrs there were 154 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (18), Asymptomatic 14, mild to moderate 121, severe 12 and 7 in Intensive Care Units.

• 4 799 tests done today (Positivity today was 9.1%)
