An MDC-T official using the name Chokwadzi Chizere on Facebook, says the Douglas Mwonzora-led political outfit never left the MDC Alliance (MDC-A).
He said Nelson Chamisa and his colleagues left the alliance by default when they ignored constitutional dictates and court orders. He wrote:

The MDC-T never withdrew from the MDC Alliance. It is those who withdrew from the MDC-T that defaultively left the MDC Alliance.
The party experienced internal upheaval and instability which arose after certain members wilfully ignored constitutional dictates and processes which led to intervention by the courts to settle matters, the courts having been approached by an alert member who noticed several constitutional violations.
The courts made a ruling solely guided by the MDC-T’s own constitution and ordered an overdue EOC which was rejected by the anarchist camp which preferred agitation of members and supporters to circumvent the constitution to have their way.
The anti-constitution camp, which was against the court ruling, appealed and lost again. They refused to comply with the court ruling and order and again proceeded to do things their own way, ultra vires the constitution.
An MDC-T EOC was held in compliance with the court order, fulfilling MDC-T constitutional obligations and a legitimate MDC-T leadership was produced.
Naturally, it is the legitimate MDC-T that chairs and leads the MDC Alliance, making anything outside of that illegitimate and therefore illegal.
There is no MDC Alliance without the MDC-T which the anarchist camp have deleted from the original agreement which still stands.
Alliance partners who defected from their respective mother parties to form and be part of an alien formation have since been expelled from their parties.
Cutting corners and doing things haphazardly with total or partial disregard for laid down rules, technical processes and necessary procedures and lying are things that Nelson Chamisa and his entire team are going to have to stop.
They have to start showing some integrity and honesty by doing things straight, which will keep them safe from future turbulence and trouble.
Now they have to go back and look for another name.
The MDC-T president Douglas Mwonzora last week said he met other MDC Alliance principals although Tendai Biti and Welshman Ncube did not attend the meeting.
