Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 27 August 2021:
- New cases: 250
- Local Cases: 250
- Returnees: 0
- Deaths: 18
- Hotspots: Cases in areas previously designated as hotspots have been declining due to public health control measures being implemented as surveillance continues in these areas.
- Vaccinations: 38 451 (first dose); 22 027 (second dose)
- Total Cumulative Vaccinations: 2 491 980 (first dose); 1 583 395 (second dose)
- As of 26 August 2021, @1500hrs there were 383 hospitalised cases: New Admissions 18, Asymptomatic 115, mild to moderate 186, severe 53 and 29 in Intensive Care Units.
- Tests: 4 424 (Positivity today was 5.7%)
- Recoveries: 336; National Recovery Rate: 89%
- Active Cases: 9 313
- Total Cumulative Cases: 124 236
- Total Recoveries: 110 549
