ZINWA Disconnects Water Supply To Beitbridge

The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) has disconnected purified bulk water supply to Beitbridge town with immediate effect. The local authority made the announcement last Friday saying the disconnection was a result of arrears. We present Beitbridge Municipality’s statement below.

Public Notice Water Disconnection

Reference to notice 39, the Municipality of Beitbridge would like to advise residents that Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) has disconnected purified bulk water supply to Beitbridge town with immediate effect. This is due to council accounts being in arrears.

The disconnection leaves the whole town without running water. The municipality is appealing to residents and stakeholders to promptly make payments so that water can be restored.

ZINWA also recently disconnected Gwanda, a move that affects 20 000 residents.
