Takudzwanashe Kaitano becomes the 4th Zimbabwean batsman opener after Grant Flower, Kevin Kasuza and Terrance Duffin to score a test 50 on debut and 10th Zimbabwean test cricketer overall with a 50-plus score in the first two inns of a test.

Zimbabwe is playing Bangladesh.

Kaitano just beat a 29-year-old record that stood since 1992 previously owned by Grant Flower of most runs on test debut with 83 runs.

Takudzwanashe Kaitano’s 87 is the 3rd highest score on Test debut for zimbabwe. See the hierarchy below.
