Nakamba ‘Happy And Honoured’ To Meet President Mnangagwa

Warriors and Aston Villa midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba, says he is honoured to have met President Emmerson Mnangagwa, at State House in Harare on Thursday.

Nakamba was in the company of former Nottingham Forest, and Queens Park Rangers striker, Dexter Blackstock.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Nakamba reiterated his commitment to assist the less privileged members of society through the Marvelous Nakamba Foundation. He said:

I am very happy and honoured to meet the President of the country…

The Foundation, it’s really a great thing for me to help the less privileged, and support the youth, and give motivation that it’s possible to become anything you want to become in life.

President Mnangagwa described Nakamba as one of Zimbabwe’s brightest young talents and an inspiration to other young people in the country. He posted on his social media pages:

A pleasure and a privilege to speak to one of Zimbabwe’s brightest young talents. Hard-working, empathetic and with an unwavering love for his country – all of Zimbabwe’s children should look up to Marvelous Nakamba

Meanwhile, Blackstock said he is finalising plans to build a dedicated cancer hospital and help boost the pharmaceutical industry, in this country.

Since he retired from football four years ago, Blackstock has become a successful entrepreneur. He is the founder of MediConnect.
