Murder-accused Girl Who Fought Back & Killed Would Be-Rapist Gets Free Legal Services

A Zimbabwean teenager who was arrested recently after she fatally attacked her would-be rapist has received free legal representation and counselling services.

Tariro Matutsa (19) of Nyenda Village, Mutoko was arrested and charged with murder after fought back viciously and killed alleged sex pest, Sure Tsuro (40) who had tried to rape her at her home.

The Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association (ZWLA) and Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) have sent lawyers and a counselling expert to assist Tariro who is currently in custody.

This was revealed by Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, the founder and Chief Executive of the Rozaria Memorial Trust. She posted on Twitter:

Rozaria Memorial Trust in collaboration with Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association (ZWLA) and Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA) have sent lawyers and a counselling expert to Mutoko to assist Tariro, the 19-year-old young woman.
