The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has published the examination fees for this year’s examinations.
However, this subsidy is limited to 7 subjects at Ordinary Level and up to 3 subjects at Advanced Level only.
Examination fees are as follows:
- ZWL$1 648.00 per subject for Ordinary Level and
- ZWL$2 400.00 per subject for Advanced Level
Ordinary Level Fees
If we take into consideration the 55% government subsidy, O’ Level candidates in public schools (formal) will pay ZWL$742.00 per subject. Candidates in public schools (non-formal) and those in private schools and colleges will part away with ZWL$1 648.00 per subject. Extra-territorial candidates will pay $3 840.00 per subject.
Those who are doing the following practical subjects will be expected to pay additional fees:
- 4002 Physical Education, Sports and Mass Display
- 4052 Building Technology and Design
- 4054 Food Technology and Design
- 4056 Home Management and Design
- 4063 Threatre Arts
The additional fees will be as follows:
- You will have to pay an additional ZWL$742.00 if you are a candidate in a public school i.e formal learner
- If you are in a private school or a private candidate you will have to pay an additional ZWL$1 648.00
For amendments and late registration, the fees will be as follows:
- Change of a Subject/Option ZWL$775.00
- Addition of a new subject ZWL$1 978.00
- Late entry fee ZWL$1 978.00
Advanced Level Fees
- Candidates in Public Schools (formal) ZWL$1 080.00
- Candidates in Public Schools (non-formal) ZWL$2 400.00
- Candidates in Private Schools and Colleges ZWL$2 400.00
- Communication Skills in Public Schools (formal) ZWL$994.00
- Communication Skills in Private Schools Colleges and non-formal ZWL$2 208.00
- Extraterritorial candidates ZWL$4 896.00
Candidates will pay additional fees for the following practical subjects:
- 6026 Theatre Arts
- 6030 Biology
- 6036 Food Technology and Design
- 6038 Home Management and Design
- 6070 Physical Education, Sports and Mass Displays
- 6080 Sports Science and Technology
The additional fees are as follows:
- Candidates in public schools (formal) will have to pay an additional ZWL$1 080.00 per subject and
- Candidates in private schools and colleges ZWL$2 400.00 per subject
For amendments and late registration, the fees will be as follows:
- Change of subject/option ZWL$1 104.00
- Addition of a new subject ZWL$2 952.00
- Late entry ZWL$2 952.00
- Late entry for Communication Skills ZWL$2 496.00
- Additional fees per subject ZWL$2 952.00
The deadline for normal entries is 09 July 2021 and the deadline for late entries is 30 July 2021

the prices are just too high and your deadline line is just too close meaning parents have only 1 month to look for those funds. please we are looking forward to a zimbabwe that will be in the near future be offering free education. but if we do like this then it means education will be for the rich and the poor will die uneducated.

What is the price if a student is in a private school but he or she will be writing at Government
The prices are beyond the reach of many in rural area ,they should be reviewed
