ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON SUNDAY 18 APRIL 2021 VAUD UNTIL TUESDAY 20 APRIL 2021.
Moisture surge from the ridge of high pressure system over the southeast coast of the sub-region resulted in light drizzle over the southern provinces namely Matabeleland South, Masvingo, Manicaland and southern districts of Mashonaland East; However, as the high pressure system that was influencing weather over the country is weakening a relatively dry atmosphere is expected going forward.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, MONDAY I9 APRIL 2021 

Brief cloudy morning conditions are expected over Manicaland, Masvingo, Harare Metropolitan and all Mashonaland provinces, with clear skies everywhere else (namely Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan and Midlands Provinces). Cool in the morning becoming warm by the afternoon.

IMPACTS
• These cooler weather conditions may affect the health of vulnerable members of society such as young children, elderly and ill persons.

• The main-rainfall season has now passed and winter is approaching, temperature may fluctuate significantly.

ACTIONS TO TAKE

• Ensure vulnerable members of society are kept warm,

• Constantly monitor and regulate the temperature within the fowl-run, and ensure proper air circulation to avoid suffocating chickens.

• Horticultural crops such as tomatoes need to be monitored and frost preventions mechanism placed on standby for any forecast eventualities.

• Regularly follow the weather updates on different official channels indicated in the footer

Cloud 9 is the common name of clouds formed from cumulus clouds transformed by weather into cumulonimbus clouds. These are found at heights of 4000 to 10 000 feet. They have a flat anvil shape on the top. So it is like a king of clouds surrounded by cumulus clouds. A very happy person is on cloud 9 to show his or her height of happiness.

FORECAST FOR TUESDAY 20 APRIL 2021

It should start off under clear skies and cool in most areas. However. it should be cold at susceptible places (Matopos, Gweru. Nyanga, Henderson, NIukandi and Chivhu). It will become warm by afternoon with brief cloudy periods expected in most areas.
