'MDC Alliance Official Arrested For Reporting S_xual Abuse'
An MDC Alliance senior official Vongai Tome was arrested for allegedly accusing police officers of fondling her breasts.
Tome, who is the MDC Alliance women assembly national secretary for mobilisation, was arrested at the Harare Magistrates Courts on Tuesday.
She was reportedly fondled by a police officer who was trying to disperse party youths who had come to court in solidarity with convicted party member Makomborero Haruziviishe.
Tome and the other three MDC Alliance members namely Kudakwashe Butau, Ngonidzashe Mupumba and Patrick Shumba were picked up by police and charged with disorderly conduct.
The four appeared in court without court papers or a charge sheet and were remanded in custody to today for bail consideration.
