Johnfart Sibanda Elected Highlanders Executive Chairman

Johnfart Sibanda has been elected Highlanders Football Club executive chairman after polling 154 votes against Kenneth Mhlophe’s 149 votes.

Morgen Dube received 212 votes against Israel Moyo’s 91 to become club secretary, while Mgcini Mafu was voted committee member after receiving 176 votes to beat Bhekumuzi Sibanda who garnered 128 votes.

The club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) should have been conducted on the 31st of January before electing three Executive members a week later.

The elections were only conducted today after the AGM was successfully held on 21 March.

The events were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic rules and regulations and the negative responses received from the police and relevant sporting authorities.
