AFCON Qualifiers: 11 Locally-based Warriors Put On Standby

Statement by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) on Warriors camp ahead of AFCON qualifiers versus Botswana and Zambia.

Ariel Sibanda is the only of the 12 locally-based players named in the Warriors provisional squad who is in camp.

All members of the technical team except Strength and Conditioning coach, Nyasha Charandura are also in camp.

Ariel is already on a special training programme with goalkeepers trainer Tembo Chuma.

The 10-day ‘isolation’ period between 12 and 22 March is one of the several measures to be implemented by the Association to reduce the risk of covid-19 infection in camp.
