The ruling ZANU PF party will hold its first Politburo meeting for the year 2021 this Wednesday at its Harare headquarters.
In a statement on Tuesday, the party’s Secretary for Information and Publicity Simon Khaya Moyo urged members to have been seated by 9.45 am. He said:
The Secretary for Administration Cde Dr O. M Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be a Politburo meeting to be held on Wednesday 17 February 2021 at the party’s Headquarters commencing 10 am.
Last week ZANU PF cancelled it politburo meeting at the last moment without giving reasons for the decision.
The postponement was announced a day after the death of Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Mozambique, Lieutenant General (Retired) Douglas Nyikayaramba, who succumbed to COVID-19.
