Four Warriors Players Stuck In Yaounde

At least four members of the Zimbabwe national football team who had travelled to Cameroon for the 2021 African Nations Championship (CHAN) finals are still stuck in the central African country.

The four could not travel back to Zimbabwe with the rest of the squad following the Warriors’ elimination from the tournament last month because they tested positive for the coronavirus.

They now need to present negative COVID-19 PCR certificates for them to be allowed to board the plane and entry into Zimbabwe.

The Daily News understands that at least two members of those left behind in Yaounde tested negative on Wednesday and could be back in Harare anytime soon.

The other two will remain longer in Yaounde, the Cameroonian capital after they returned positive tests.
