Parts of Chipinge District in Manicaland Province at 18:56 hrs yesterday reportedly experienced an earth tremor, ZBC News reports.
According to the publication, the development was confirmed by the Meteorological Services Department (MSD).
No damage, injuries and or fatalities has been reported so far. The magnitude of the tremor was 4.3 and it reportedly hit 69 km east of Chipinge.
According to an expert on Eathquates on Twitter, the same termor also hit parts of Beira:
4.2 S of Beira, Mozambique
4.4 S of Beira, Mozambique
4.3 E of Chipinge, Zimbabwe
Last year Kariba was also hit by 5 mild tremors just before the onset of the winter season.
