Warriors Camp Blighted By Injuries Ahead Of Burkina Faso Showdown

Warriors team manager, Wellington Mpandare, has confirmed that Richard Hachiro and Qadr Amini have been ruled out of the crucial fixture against Burkina Faso at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) today.

Mpandare further revealed that Wellington Taderera, Denver Mukamba, Andrew Mbeba, Ronald Chitiyo and Thomas Chideu have to pass late fitness tests. Said Mpandare:

Richard Hachiro, Qadr Amini are out, Wellington Taderera, Denver Mukamba, Andrew Mbeba, Ronald Chitiyo and Thomas Chideu are expected to pass late fitness.

Zimbabwe takes on Burkina Faso at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon at 9 PM (CAT) this Wednesday.

Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso lost their opening fixtures at the tournament on Saturday by an identical 1-0 scoreline against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Eagles of Mali respectively.

Both teams (The Warriors and The Stallions) are under pressure to win on Wednesday to stand any chance of progressing to the next round of the tournament.
