Harare Records 559 COVID-19 Cases, Zero Deaths In 24 Hours

Harare remains the epicenter of COVID-19 in Zimbabwe after recording 559 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours. The city recorded 559 new cases and zero recoveries in 24 hours. according to an update from the ministry that also noted that there were no deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry:

All 978 cases are local cases and 559 from Harare only.

Over the past week, the country has recorded over 3000 cases and over 100 COVID-19 deaths. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has prohibited dead bodies from being ferried out of towns and cities for burial in rural areas to curb spreading the virus.
