Janet Munyaka To Be Buried At Glen Forest Today

The late Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) journalist Janet Munyaka, who succumbed to COVID-19 on Saturday, had just attained a Masters Degree in International Relations.

Munyaka died on Saturday evening at Harare’s St Anne’s hospital where she had been admitted since last week battling COVID-19.

According to ZBC acting chief executive officer Halliet Rushwaya, Munyaka was supposed to have graduated with the Master’s Degree at the University of Zimbabwe last Friday but missed the ceremony after being hospitalised.

Munyaka (48), was ZBC’s Diplomatic Correspondent having taken over from the late Judith Makwanya.

She joined the ZBC in 2000 as a production assistant in the news department after studying Mass Communication at Harare Polytechnic College.

She rose through the ranks from production assistant to a municipal correspondent, health correspondent before being promoted to Diplomatic Correspondent.

Munyaka will be buried today at Glen Forest Memorial Park in line with Covid-19 regulations.
